Let's try to answer WHY Acid Attacks!

As the little girl wept, her father held her hand and kissed the small burnt scar. "Look the pain is gone now," he said. Years later, he wished this magical kiss worked when an acid burnt her in every way. Alas, that couldn't happen. Today I saw a man saying, "maybe I have been backward and didn't get support because I am a MALE." This is the statement of an acid victim who was not provided any economical support from the government to continue his medical procedures. In such a severe condition, he wishes that if he was a female, he would have definitely got some sort of financial help for his recovery and did not have to remain idle in a hospital bed for months.

It is such a matter of shame that people still think and believe that acid attack is a gender-biased activity/crime and if a male happens to be a victim, he gets ignored. Here, I am not supporting this hilarious crime, neither am I trying to say that both males and females deserve to be victims. NOT AT ALL. The only thing that I am focusing on is the inequality that implicitly exists but the government seems to be sleeping over the issue.

Yes, The INEQUALITY of SYMPATHY The INEQUALITY of COMPASSION The INEQUALITY of JUSTICE.

Let aside the disabled government, even the general public has a stereotypical belief that females are always the ones that are disadvantaged and males are enjoying all the privilege which is not true in every case. This is where the disproportion begins. No matter, how much we try to trivialize the gender inequalities by uplifting women; until and unless we bring in our attribution and behaviors that all genders are unanimous and every single individual ought to accept it, nothing will ever change. Another pathetic thing is the availability of acid. There is no regulation in any place to control the sale and distribution of acid in Nepal.

And guess what, it's cheaper than any perfume wow! And one can carry it anytime they wish to. Shameful ugh!

The question is not how and when these things happen or these incidents took place. It should be about WHY they happen? WHY do the victims have to survive with the permanent scars on their face and body though they are innocent? WHY do females have to live with a fear that they might be the next victim? WHY do males have to encounter such situations for no reason? WHY do the attackers have no sense of compassion towards others...why does this hatred even exist? WHY is the government so ignorant? WHY are the public speechless? WHY is the law so feeble as air? WHY are all these questions unanswered? After all, WHY!
